D/2 Product Description:
D/2 Biological Solution is highly effective for removing stains caused by mold, mildew, algae, lichens, and air pollutants.
Tested and used by the Department of Veterans Affairs and the National Park Service, D/2 is a biodegradable cleaner that is pH neutral and contains no salts, bleach or acids.
D/2 is a safe, easy to use liquid that removes a broad spectrum of environmental soils and stains from structures and architectural features. It can be used on brick, stone, concrete, wood, vinyl & aluminum siding, fiberglass, metal, paint, and canvas with D/2 Biological Solution. Furthermore, it is effective on marble, granite, limestone, brownstone, travertine, masonry, terra cotta, concrete, stucco, wood, and other architectural surfaces including monuments, sculptures, and headstones. A contact time of only 10 to 15 minutes followed by scrubbing with a soft nylon or natural bristle brush will loosen most biological and air pollutant staining.
D/2 Application Procedures
Always do a spot test sample before proceeding with the project. This cleaning solution works best when air and surface temperatures are 45°F or above. Use D/2 undiluted for the best results. In the event of excessive plant exposure, rinse all plants and water in all planted ground areas.

I learned about D/2 from an article about a man who spends weekends cleaning old headstones, and that led me to LimeWorks. I ordered a quart to try it on our 1917 brick and stucco house and was immediately convinced that it is the answer to renewing any surfaces discolored by algae, moss, lichens, mold, mildew, etc. D/2 works like a charm! After my success, I ordered a quart for my brother-in-law in Illinois to clean family headstones, and I have now ordered a gallon to clean stucco in preparation for painting. I have used it so far on stucco, marble, ceramic tile, painted wood, concrete, and painted metal. My neighbor used some to see if it would work on mildewed asphalt shingles, and it did. I ordered an extendable 6′-24′ soft car wash brush from Amazon for cleaning the stucco wall to avoid using a ladder. LimeWorks has absolutely excellent customer service; the gallon I ordered by phone yesterday will arrive today, and they have offered helpful advice and answered all my questions. (A local retailer sells D/2 but at double the price.) I’ve spread the word to our realtor, our handyman, a building inspector and a contractor. I could not be more impressed and satisfied!
D2 is a miracle. I clean abandoned veteran headstones, and this solution is a godsend. It safely and effectively cleans the stones and leaves them standing with dignity.
