PA Job
Job Description:
This Pennsylvania Bank Barn was converted into a home. We removed the existing pointed mortar joints back to the bedding mortar and repointed the entire structure in an inverted ''V'' style joint or what is locally known as a ''Colonial Ridge'' style joint. The owners wanted a smooth transition from the driveway elevation to that elevation of the front door threshold. deGruchy Masonry designed and built the mortared retaining wall, (left side), which curves and tapers down from 14' to 2'. Dry-laid terrace walls were used to complete the arc in the forefront and to retain earth at two more separating elevations. Connecting Pennsylvania blue stone walkways guide the owners and their guests by lighted stair wing walls. | View Next Job Back to Topics |

Customer Comment:
We are very pleased with the work Andy, Jeff, Tex, Charlie and all of the crew performed. The project was bid and executed as described. Everyone was pleasant. There was a lot of attention to details, and they all asked for our opinions whenever there were any questions to resolve.
