This mixer makes all the difference in the world. I was having the worst results with a drum mixer. I took one of the classes offered by Limeworks and saw them using these. Game changer. I get a more complete dry mix and I’m able to work the mixture better with less water (which means less shrinkage).
Exceeded all my expectations. Well worth the price .
So far I have been using it daily on a historic repointing project and it has functioned very well on small batches. This winter I have to restore a 1690’s chimney stack with multiple fireboxes and will be mixing large quantities of lime mortar. I am looking forward to using the mixer in that application.
This tool has been a game changer. SO much more power and stability than a mixing blade in a drill. Ease of use and thorough, even mixing of larger batches at saved me almost 10 hours in labor costs in the first 2 weeks of use: a near full return on the cost.
