Ecologic™ LimeWash Platinum is a 100% made in the U.S.A. breathable whitewash based on a traditional mid-19th-century recipe with no modern additives. Our whitewash is perfect when used on old raw barn beams, sheltering and decorating lime plaster, raw brick, stone, and stucco. It can be used to refresh already whitewashed buildings and basements that were previously parged and whitewashed. We currently make Ecologic™ LimeWash Platinum in pre-blended Customized colors. Just inquire with us about the range of colors available. Ecologic™ LimeWash Platinum is available in a quart, gallon, 5 gallons, and NOW a 50 lb. bulk bag, called the T. Sawyer Bulk Bag.

Ecologic™ LimeWash Platinum (Whitewash) Product Description:
Ecologic™ LimeWash Platinum is a 100% made in the U.S.A. breathable whitewash based on a traditional mid-19th-century recipe with no modern additives. Our whitewash is a perfect complement to lime plaster and suitable for most backgrounds. It uses a custom-formulated lime that is mixed with water on the job site, to create a stain-like coating for masonry.
Where can your whitewash be applied?
Our LimeWash can be applied to properly primed gypsum plasters, drywall, lining paper, cement and lime backgrounds, bricks, blocks, smooth (stone, wood, and fence posts, with the addition of 15% Ecologic Acrylic Latex Additive), and untreated aged timber. Ordering Customs
Custom colors are available upon request. All customs are made to order and can be produced by sending in a sample of your mineral paint (for more information on ordering Custom Simulations go here).
If no sample can be acquired or if you prefer, you can send us a Benjamin Moore® or Sherman-Williams® color code and we will simulate that color for your project.

Benefits
Ecologic™ LimeWash Platinum is a mineral coating, meaning that it absorbs into the substrate and then will form lime crystals in the pores of the masonry and on the surface. It is vapor permeable and immune to salt attack. Due to its crystal structure and chemistry, vapor in the wall is able to evaporate out. Since water nor salts will get trapped behind the limewash, it will not bubble, blister, or flake off.
